Export and import of corn in January - August 2019 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Zerno.ru, in August 2019 Russia has imported 0.3 thousand tons of corn (HS code 1005). According to the results of 8 months of corn import campaign, Russia has shipped in 27.3 thousand tons (in 2018 - 32.1 thousand MT; in 2017 - 37.3 thousand MT).
In the period January - August 2019, the main countries exporters of corn to Russia were HUNGARY (29.27%) and FRANCE (25.97%).

In August 2019 Russia has exported 104.1 thousand tons of corn. According to the results of 8 months of corn export campaign, Russia has shipped out 1827.1 thousand tons (in 2018 - 3889.8 thousand MT; in 2017 - 3331.2 thousand MT).
In the period January - August 2019, the main countries importers of corn from Russia were IRAN (69.12%) and TURKEY (10.02%).
