Export and import of corn in January - August 2017 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Zerno.ru, in August 2017 Russia has imported 1.4 thousand tons of corn (HS code 1005). According to the results of 8 months of corn import campaign, Russia has shipped in 37.3 thousand tons (in 2016 - 24.4 thousand MT; in 2015 - 26.5 thousand MT).
In the period January - August 2017, the main countries exporters of corn to Russia were HUNGARY (25.97%) and FRANCE (24.15%).

In August 2017 Russia has exported 130.9 thousand tons of corn. According to the results of 8 months of corn export campaign, Russia has shipped out 3331.2 thousand tons (in 2016 - 2990.8 thousand MT; in 2015 - 2093.4 thousand MT).
In the period January - August 2017, the main countries importers of corn from Russia were VIETNAM (22.29%) and TURKEY (18.65%).
